On the 18th of May 2021, Ruth Emmanuel-Makandiwa sent the Agape Family Care team on a love mission to a special group of people of Marange Community in the Eastern Highlands province of Manicaland.

The team was sent to share the unconditional love of God with the Bakorenhema Children’s Home, which caters for children who are orphaned without guardians, neglected children and victims of child abuse. This institution, opened in August 2001 with the mission of being a haven for children in need in the Marange community, has no stable source of finances and donations that are required for its day-to-day running. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic also affected them as they were no longer able to source for food or donations for the institution.
