Matthew 6 vs. 33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (KJV)
Most people think that if they stop sinning, they become righteous. You can stop sinning but if you do not know how to seek for righteousness, you can live a sinless life yet not living a righteous life.
According to the verse quoted above, you have to seek first His kingdom, and His righteousness, not yours. And when you find His righteousness, you become gifted with the gift of righteousness.
Righteousness can be sought for and it can be found. And you become righteous according to His righteousness.
At the end of the day, the righteousness that people will find on you is not your own but an imparted and imputed righteousness.
Know how to seek for the gift of righteousness.
